LiteMatrix 2016 New Product Launch Events Come to a Successful Conclusion in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen 2016-11-02 00:00:00

LiteMatrix held the 2016 new product launch event at the showroom in  Shenzhen on November 1. Over 100 lighting designers, interior designers and media friends attended the grand event at the newly decorated showroom equipped with new products. The successful conclusion of its Shenzhen launch event draws the curtain on LiteMatrix’s 2016 new product launch event tour, which also indicates that LiteMatrix will enter the market with a brand new positioning, a new stance and new user experience-focused interior products with unique designs. 


The Shenzhen product launch event was jointly held by LiteMatrix and eLicht Lighting Academy. Professor Lin Hong from School of Architecture and All, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and Mr. Chen Yan from Sun Stone Space Design were invited to deliver theme speeches. Mr. Liu Xiaoguang, the brand founder of LiteMatrix, introduced his opinions on work space lighting and the original intention to found the brand. Mr Liu Yanjiang, LiteMatrix’s indoor product manager, and Xuan Qi, LiteMatrix’s outdoor product manager, respectively introduced stories behind product design and advantages in practical application.




First of all, Mr. Liu Xiaoguang, GM of LiteMatrix, made an opening speech. He said founding a new indoor lighting brand derived from his thinking about better indoor lighting solutions triggered by the disharmony between lamps and ceilings when he went shopping at a shopping mall. As a man enthusiastic about lighting, he thought he should be responsible for changing such status quo. He even encouraged himself with a saying from Ludwig Wittgenstein, “If people never did silly things nothing intelligent would ever get done.” In his opinion, the market doesn’t need a new indoor lighting brand, but a lighting brand which deeply observes and studies users’ actual needs. This brand should know users’ needs before they realize them and be able to meet their needs. Although people usually work between nine o’clock in the morning and five o’clock in the afternoon, they actually work for over eight hours. Therefore, new brand LiteMatrix decided to begin with work space lighting so as to improve lighting experience for users.


Afterwards, Mr. Liu Yanjiang, Indoor Product Manager of LiteMatrix, began with the change and development of office design to probe into design trends of work space in the future. He talked about rethinking the relation between architectural space and environment, people and architectures, people and people with the “re-design” design thinking and designing work space products including lighting system, down lights, floor lamps and ceiling lamps with the “Design for How It Works” working method. All these products are equipped with complete optical systems like ambient light, key light, atmosphere light and wall washer light well co-existing with the architectures to maintain characteristics of the architectures to an extreme during use. They are all light and small and can be matched and freely combined with each other, which can be intelligently controlled.


Next, Mr. Xuan Qi, LiteMatrix’s Outdoor Product Manager, shared the relation between outdoor architectures and products. In his opinions, thinking of outdoor lighting should be based on analysis of architectures and environment. At present, architectural zone and functional zone are changing towards structure and style diversification and building material diversification. What’s more, architectural zone and functional zone are divided in more details. It’s difficult to meet lighting demand of architectures and environment with a single lighting practice. For instance, there are better solutions for architectural structures like tower structure, crooked low walls and stairs. After analyzing disadvantages of solutions in the past, Xuan Qi introduced three outdoor lamps including sill light, flexible wall washer light and stair light, which aroused great interest from guests.


After the two product managers introduced the products, Professor Lin Hong from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts brought a lecture with the theme “Image • Media • Light”. Professor Lin Hong introduced domestic and foreign excellent cases on media façade flood lighting. He also analyzed the changes of media communication and the gradual changes of media architecture and introduced the definition of new media arts. In the end, Professor Lin Hong explained the medium attribute of architectures in three scales including city, building and pedestrian. In scale of city, the uniqueness, landmark attribute, remote identification and high brightness of architectures should be highlighted; in scale of building, the understanding of forms and structural features of architectures should be highlighted; in scale of pedestrian, continuity with streets, fun, interaction and commercial character should be highlighted.



Mr Chen Yan from Sun Stone Space Design delivered a speech on “Office Space Design —— Design • Light”, which introduced the relation among space, light and people’s emotions. Light is the focus in the space and forms of light affect the tones of space. Skillful application of light can create relaxing and stress-free ambience, inspire employees’ creativity and improve work efficiency. Light design of office space is a kind of derivation and creation of existing space art.


At last, Mr. Chen invited Mr. Xu Qinghui, co-founder and chief product officer of eLicht, Mr. Yu Xiankai from Chongqing Hanrun International Lighting Design and Mr. Du Jianxiang from Shenzhen DASUN Environmental Art to have an interesting and inspiring conversation. Meanwhile, he deeply probed into lighting design challenges faced when he was designing work space. The heated discussion triggered onsite designers’ depth pondering of lighting design in work space.




LiteMatrix brought three splendid product launch events in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen from October 24 to November 1, which not only announced the launch of new products, but also delivered ideas of product design, space and lighting design with six masters from the lighting circle and interior design circle, triggering people’s deeper thinking about the relation among lamps, light, space and people’s emotions. To LiteMatrix, light design is not only about light, electricity and heat. Instead, it pays more attention to architecture, space and people’s needs.
